Everything at The Hobbyt, started out as hobbies and crafts we're passionate about, so a lot of care goes into each piece making it unique in its own way.
Crochet was one of the first crafts we started out with and Amigurumi (the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed yarn creatures) stole our hearts. Since then there has been no looking back. From teddies and bunnies to caterpillars and dinosaurs... and of course, Unicorns and octopi, we have them all. Crocheted in bright, easy to wash yarn, we have tried to add some quirk and magic to all our creatures, which will make you want to carry them back home with you.

An avid crochet enthusiast and an art therapist by profession started crocheting 10 years ago in a farmhouse with a lot of time on her hands and a toddler who needed toys. As her obsession got out of hand, The Hobbyt was birthed. Soon she was unable to keep up with the constant influx of orders and decided to give back to the community by working with NGOs and underprivileged women to teach them to make stuffed toys. Now she works with 15 women empowering them to gain some financial stability and a sense of having a hobby of their own that can even become a livelihood.
